The first Te Runanga a iwi o Ngapuhi Governance review report from PWC is available
The survey highlighted several areas:
a request for accountability and transparency from those in leadership positions to build trust among those woh they represent.
a request for unity, positive behaviour and skills based appointments to the TRAION Board.
improved communications with and inclusion of iwi members to enhance collective understanding of governance and procedures.
In addition, there were strong messages that included:
the need for TRAION to focus on basic necessities being met for uri of Ngāpuhi, such as housing and education.
the aspiration to achieve self-sustainability and independence as an iwi
