Ngapuhi Governance report


Kia ora e te whanau,


The first Te Runanga a iwi o Ngapuhi Governance review report from PWC is available


The survey highlighted several areas:


  • a request for accountability and transparency from those in leadership positions to build trust among those woh they represent. 

  • a request for unity, positive behaviour and skills based appointments to the TRAION Board.

  • improved communications with and inclusion of iwi members to enhance collective understanding of governance and procedures. 

In addition, there were strong messages that included:


  • the need for TRAION to focus on basic necessities being met for uri of Ngāpuhi, such as housing and education. 

  • the aspiration to achieve self-sustainability and independence as an iwi
