HOUSING HUI

Two weeks ago, a housing hui was held at Mokonuiarangi where Minister Willie Jackson and representatives from Government agencies were invited to respond to the findings put together in a report about improving housing and wellbeing in Utakura.
The outcome was disappointing - no response, no offers, and no real options were provided. An agreement however was made for all to come back together in a months time to progress things forward.
To prepare for this, an interim team of whanau have been working on a housing plan that covers Whakarongorua through to Papua. We want to share this with you at the hui next Wednesday.
